I wish they would have identified the actual buses and not just the 1200 & 7200 series. Do you know when the next set of new buses will be delivered to Metro Transit? Thanks.
I know exactly what they are referring to. One of the mentioned buses runs the 84 quite a bit (at least when I ride, it seems) and it does indeed smell like burning electrics. I just chalked it up to being new. Will look for the bus number next time I encounter it.
Hello everyone and welcome to my Transit Blog. I have been a bus driver since 2000. I worked for Waukesha Metro Transit in Waukesha, Wisconsin from 2000 to 2008. I moved to the Twin Cities with my family in March of 2008. I now work for Metro Transit in Twin Cities. I first started taking pictures and video in the fall of 2007.
I will post my transit related photos and video here. I will also post transit related news. Please leave a comment to let me know what you think.

Haven't smelled this on the Minneapolis busses, but I used to live in Duluth and I always thought their 30ft Gilligs had a distinct urine smell also.
Thanks for posting. I never saw this one. I've never noticed any smell, still that's interesting.
